OUR DJs
The Residents
Meet the squad
Masquerade have a great team of resident DJ’s, all showstoppers in their own right. We are big believers in supporting local talent, and have hand-picked some of the finest DJ talent in Shropshire to represent our brand. Some of the team have been with us since the the early days of Masquerade, and will of course be very familiar to House music lovers in Telford and Shrewsbury. Everybody brings their own style and specialties, but combine together brilliantly due to the long-standing friendships amongst them. You can find out a little bit more about them below, we recommend you give them a follow on social media and check out their on-line mixes and radio shows!

CLIFFY
Cliffy has been DJing in the Midlands for over 30 years, and throughout those years has been involved in many different scenes. Having spent his childhood as an obsessive Hip Hop fan, at 15 years old Cliffy started DJing as part of a sound system, playing Reggae and Jungle and throwing parties at youth clubs and community centres in Telford. Later in his teens he began to edge into the world of clubbing and developed a huge passion for House music in all its forms. So around 2004 Cliffy began playing at local bars and events, with a few modest residencies popping up. Having taken a break from around 2008, Cliffy was drawn back into DJing during the Bass music explosion of 2011, playing Dubstep, Garage, DnB, Grime, and more. This lead to some amazing residencies with highly successful brands Clique Exclusive & Code Projects, playing alongside artists like Hannah Wants, DJ EZ, Yousef, Lauren Lo Sung, Patrick Topping, and more. Cliffy joined the Masquerade team for the brand’s relaunch in 2018 and has been wowing our crowds ever since. Aside from Masquerade, Cliffy is a resident for Audio-Tek, Pandemonium, FOMO, and Hau5 Of Jack. You will of course also find him guesting at other nights such as Disco Tech, Be My Guest, and Bushwackers – and is also a resident of Housemasters Radio online.
Give Cliffy a follow on his socials, and check out his catalogue of mixes on Soundcloud – you will everything from Funk and Disco to House and Drum N Bass and everything in between!

K.A SMALLZ
K-A-Smallz starting mixing records back in 1991 on his friends Technics 1210 turntables and has not looked back since. K-A started playing bars and friend’s parties’ building up a reputation around his local town with his style and sound of music. Funky House, Old School Classics, Vocal House, Garage, Breaks, Jungle and Drum & Bass. “I always try and invoke a nice happy feel good vibe in my sets” Upbeat, soulful vocals and a heavy bassline, all mixed with that old school feel. Over the years he has had the privilege to play alongside some great DJ’s at some great events, parties, clubs and bars around the Midlands and his home town of Telford. Currently a resident for Masquerade, Audio-Tek, and Pandemonium – he also holds a twice weekly radio show on Housemasters Radio. Having grown up in the 70s and 80s listening to funk/disco/soul/reggae and hip hop and then rave scene all those sounds around at that time he ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful piano work, cool and deep basslines, soulful vocal hooks and those funky chunky beats. Make sure you check his radio show Back2Basics every Monday 6pm.

MARK BOWRON
Mark hails from the North East, but has been such an avid supporter of Masquerade over the last 5 years we certainly consider him to be a true local. As a DJ he has developed his trademark style of true House music sounds, playing at events like Pitch nearer his home town and making guest appearances in Shropshire for ourselves and the excellent Hau5 Of Jack.
Mark also delivers amazing sets every week on Ultimate Dance Radio, on his outstanding Kaleidoscope Effect show. Check him out Tuesdays 6-8pm and Thursdays 4-6pm for awesome journeys through House.
The thing we also love about Mark is that you will find him on the dancefloor more than anyone, a true lover of House music and super supportive to all of the other DJs. Massive respect from all of us at Masquerade!!
